Founder of GLK global events with more than 18 years of experience in the industry. She is a poet, writer, radio jockey, TEDx speaker etc. She has curated multiple event properties nationally and globally both.
She is the Director and Curator of Lit-O-Fest’ Mumbai: India’s Premier Literature, Arts and Music Festival. Lit-O-fest began as a humble festival in 2015 and quickly spiraled into a top-rated event within a year with a large following of writers, readers, publishers, artists, and musicians.
In its 3rd edition in 2017, it rose to the one most inclusive platform for emerging authors, performers, poets, artists, and musicians, coming together during a series of panel discussions, workshops, and entertainment showcases. it’s become the well-liked platform for book launches, musical collaborations, and independent film and theatre displays.

Smita also ensured that additionally to hosting valuable sessions with celebrated authors, Lit-O-Fest provides an equal space and a spotlight to young emerging authors, our National Language, Hindi, and other regional language works. Thus, it’s also a platform to initiate ‘author’s awards’ to acknowledge emerging authors and felicitate established literary achievers.She successfully organized Lit-O-Fest London chapter in September 2018 with dignitaries from all across the world at a people parliament and has envisioned scaling Lit-O-Fest’ Mumbai and Rehmatein to its international editions within the UK, USA, Canada, and also the Mideast.
